Last month flew by in Bupuri World! Mom had a shop update and has been working hard to pack all her orders diligently! Unfortunately, this means that she once again, had to delay Kumi's Kickstarter campaign! Kumi and her followers seems to be getting restless... We hope Mom can find time to work on it soon!!!

What does "Bupuri" mean?
Bupuri is a combination of Butter and Purin's names! I knew I had always wanted to make a separate brand for all the kids, but I had struggled with choosing the right name for over a year. I finally picked "Bupuri" because it was the only one that stuck with me out of all the other names I had. I considered "Bupurin", "Bupugo", and "Bupuru", but I would always think "Bupuri" in my head when referring to the brand.
I also wanted something that would be easy for everyone to pronounce and spell! So far, people have been able to pronounce it (though some say it with a lack of uncertainty haha) and some seem to be unsure of the spelling. I guess I missed the mark a bit there.
What is your inspiration for the buns and their personalities?
My inspiration for the buns are from my life and my friends!
They're parts of me and parts of people that I admire and traits I wish I could have in myself. However, the purpose of making the buns wasn't to make perfect characters. I wanted each bunny to have distinct personality traits that could be seen as both positive and negative in order to show people that even though you may not be perfect, there will still be people out there that love you for who you are. (Cheesy, I know)
Purin is patient, but he's lazy and doesn't prioritize his health. Butter is impulsive, but she's kind and cares for others in her own unique way. Pongo is kind, but to a fault. He lets others push him around without standing up for himself.
Kumi has a big ego, but she'll always be real with you and give surprisingly good advice.
Tomaki likes to tease others and pretend that he's perfect, but he works hard and will practice doing something insignificant just to impress his friends.
Characters with no flaws are boring, just in real life! It's okay to have less-than-perfect traits, as long as we're aware and make sure we don't hurt others because of it.
I hope people get to be their most authentic self because life is too exhausting and too short to not be unapologetically you.
