March Edition
Issue #3

We’re Back!
Hi Everybun! We apologize for the radio silence here at Bupuri Times. We are a one and a half person team and we’ve had a lot going on these past few months. Just when I thought we would be able to publish the newsletter consistently, we hit a wall. I hate making excuses, but I feel tremendous guilt for not being able to keep up with something I promised myself I would do.
Even though we don’t have a large community, it feels worse knowing I’m letting down the few people that are supporting us. I truly appreciate each and every one of you that have stayed with us all this time. I’m working hard behind the scenes to gather more help so we can make more things for you to love! (and to grow the bun cult of course!!)
I’ve enlisted the help of a few bun members to help us with the newsletter! (If you’d like to be a part of our newsletter as well, keep reading until the end for more info!)
That’s why this month may seem a bit… experimental, because it is! It will be our first time trying new things and hopefully you guys like what’s in store!
Like us, I encourage you all to try something new this month! Be fearless! Try something new! I hope to infect some of you with my newfound enthusiasm and motivation ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ – ˵ )

Kumi’s Anime Recommendation

Hey everybun. I came across a new anime that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed as of late. It’s called “Pass the Monster Meat, Milday!” I find it fitting to watch while eating. I’m too lazy to explain everything, so I’ll keep it short.
Melphie, the protagonist, endlessly spends her time researching the possibilities of how monster meat can be prepared. She then bumps into a white haired man named Arisitide who is known for slaying such beasts (I will say he’s very dreamy, but not as dreamy as my Gojo of course). Both charmed by each other, they both venture forth to encourage each other’s fascination with monsters and how to prepare them.
(My paws are cramping by writing all of this…WAAAAY too much work). Anyway, you can check it out if you want. Or not. Either way, it’s none of my concern. Unless if you do enjoy it, then by all means, be sure to credit me and thank me for introducing you to magnificence.
Tomaki’s Cooking Corner

Roasted Broccoli (HEAR ME OUT)
Purin doesn’t usually like veggies (especially broccoli because he claims it just tastes like grass and water), but while in Japan, we had soup curry with roasted broccoli and he actually liked it?!
He told me how much he liked how well the it went with the curry. Everybun was in awe seeing how much he enjoyed the broccoli.
Except for Kumi of course- she wasn’t as impressed because eating veggies didn’t seem like an awe worthy task. Once we got home, I decided it would be a good idea to try and cook it at home for Purin so he wouldn’t die of malnutrition. His only source of nutrition is when we blend inconspicuous vegetables into his smoothies and add protein powder to what ever we can.
Pongo’s Book Club

Hello everybun. This is Pongo. This month I read a book called “She and Her Cat” by Makoto Shinkai and Naruki Nagakawa.
It’s a book with four short stories that are all connected. Each story was about a cat. I like stories about cats because I like to learn about other species. I’ve never met a cat before in person but I would like to one day. I just hope I don’t scare it and get scratched…
Then again, if I upset Kumi she would probably scratch me.
Anyways, I would recommend this book to those that want to start reading more. It is quite short, but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So I think that means it’s good.
What’s Butter Baking?

Japanese Hotcakes
I’m not really a fan of pancakes. I usually prefer other sweets (I know, I know, I see the irony) but in Kyoto, we went to a cafe and tried hot cakes at a fancy tea house and they were amazing!
The airiness and fluffiness of the pancakes made each bite feel like I was biting into a cloud~ I didn’t think it would be anything special. Pancakes are just… well pancakes. Flat and meh. But after trying this new version of pancakes, it opened my eyes to more doors of opportunities! So I wanted to try recreating them myself at home!
I didn’t realize that you could make something so different with the same ingredients if you just change the technique! I’m sure this could be a metaphor about how a different perspective could change how you see yourself or something. But this isn’t therapy!
Purin’s Game Review

Hey buns! I’ve been playing through Persona 5 Royal for the past few months and I’ve finally completed it! It’s such a long game (took me 150 hours LOL) but I think it’s worth every minute! The format the story is told through does get a bit repetitive, but
everything surrounding the characters are all very enticing, especially towards the later half of the game. When it comes to gameplay, it’s not as engaging as Expedition 33 for example, but the team synergy and type counters are all very cool, ESPECIALLY with the sick visual effects and graphics!
I don’t think I’ve played a game that oozes so much aura, and the game came out like 10 years ago! I think the game does a perfect job of connecting the characters, themes, and gameplay together to tell a hopeful and heartwarming story. For sure this is a top 5 games of all times for me!
Monthly Faves!

Kumi’s Pick!
After our recent girl’s trip to Japan, we picked up a lot of sheet masks that Kumi seemed to enjoy. She’s been seen using one nearly every night after her one hour bath. She does not play around with pampering herself!

Tomaki’s Pick!
Tomaki is always looking for new things to spice up the gym routine and recently, he picked up an ipod! He says a phone is too distracting so having an ipod helps him with his sets. (I do not know how that works I do not go to the gym)

Purin’s Pick!
Purin’s recent favorite item has been a heated blanket! It was quite cold earlier this year and he’s been getting lots of use from this heated blanket that was gifted to him by Butter! He uses it mainly when he’s playing games of course~
